Collaborating with the cancer patient community
Our partnerships with patient organizations enable us to better understand the reality of living with different cancer types, so that we can focus our efforts on delivering impactful support programs and educational materials tailored to the needs of those living with them.
COLLABORATION
One example of this is our collaboration with the International Kidney Cancer Coalition (IKCC) on Together for Kidney Cancer; a global disease awareness initiative co-created with the International Kidney Cancer Coalition (IKCC) to empower people with kidney cancer to take more active roles in their treatment and care decisions.
By forging long-term partnerships with the oncology patient community, co-creating strategies and projects that focus on what really matters to patients, we can make the biggest difference to those living with cancer.
Our work with the cancer patient community
We work together with the cancer patient community around the world on a range of different projects, across all stages from research and development, clinical study information, and patient support programs.
Tackling taboos in prostate cancer: Sex in the doctor’s office podcast
We partnered with Dutch prostate cancer patient organization Prostaatkankerstichting, to co-create informative content that tackles taboos around intimacy and sexual health challenges in prostate cancer.
Uniting the neuroendocrine tumor (NET) community in Spain: Podcast series
We collaborated with the neuroendocrine tumor community in Spain to raise awareness of the condition and enable people living with it to connect with each other and experts.
Co-creating recipe guides with the kidney cancer patient community to tackle undernutrition during treatment
We developed recipe guides to help people living with kidney cancer overcome undernutrition during treatment, co-created with French patient organization Association pour La Recherche sur les Tumeurs du Rein (A.R.T.u.R) and experts.
Partnerships with patient organizations
Ipsen has worked together with many Global and European communities, supporting people affected by cancer.
The International Kidney Cancer Coalition (IKCC)
“The International Kidney Cancer Coalition (IKCC) views Ipsen as a key leader in helping to amplify the patient voice and make a meaningful difference to people living with kidney cancer. It is clear that they share our vision: To reduce the global burden of kidney cancer.”
Digestive Cancers Europe (DiCE)
“As the incidence of liver cancer in Europe keeps rising, we had to act now. For the first time, we have produced a social media campaign to raise awareness about the signs and symptoms of liver cancer as well as preventive measures that can help reduce its risk. To bring this neglected topic in the political agenda, we have drafted and launched in collaboration with European Liver Patients’ Association (ELPA) our White Paper on Liver Cancer – No Patient Left Behind. We are delighted that Ipsen is among the funding partners supporting these activities.”
International Neuroendocrine Cancer Alliance (INCA)
“We have a long-standing trusting relationship with Ipsen who have helped advance many of our major strategic initiatives targeted at improving outcomes for patients with neuroendocrine neoplasms.”
