Christelle joined Ipsen in 2020 with extensive experience indrug discovery and development across multiple therapeutic areas, having held senior scientific roles at X-Chem, Alexion, and Pfizer. She holds a Ph.D. in Molecularand Cellular Biology from the Pasteur Institute. At Ipsen, Chriselle leads R&D from discovery through late-stage development across Oncology, Rare Disease, and Neuroscience, and is also accountable for the company’s External Innovation strategy. Since joining, she has transformed and expanded the portfolio to build strong franchises including Ipsen’s leading work in rare liver diseases, and expanding Ipsen’s early development pipeline into new areas – featuring best and first-in class assets in pioneering modalities such as Antibody Drug Conjugates and T Cell Engagers. Key achievements include advancing multiple assets into Phase I and beyond and accelerating innovation by successfully guiding key data readouts and driving 7 major regulatory approvals.

Sandra joined Ipsen in 2023, bringing over 20 years of global clinical and medical leadership from academia, hospitals and pharmaceutical companies like Sanofi and Eli Lilly. She is a physician specialized in endocrinology and metabolic diseases and holds aPh.D. in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease.In addition to her industry leadership, Sandra is also a published researcher, professor, and advocate for gender equity in science. At Ipsen, she leads the Global Medical Organization, encompassing the portfolio Therapeutic strategy, Clinical Operations, Patient Safety and Patient Affairs and more, with a strong focus on patient-centric innovation. Since joining Ipsen, she has led a bold transformation to position medical affairs as a best-in-class function —advancing Ipsen’s strategy to integrate science, real-world evidence, and patient insights throughout the product life cycle to accelerate access to innovation.
